traders creating interest :D

can we close above 30.5 that would be fantastic

with 2 weeks into local election, there will be some interest generated by firstly retailers for a quick trading gain, that should initiate the reversal and break and turn into bullish mode :D

it all looks like LIOC might be on an upward trajectory soon. With the results didnt experience much downside. i remember my broker was stating to reduce a bit in order to increase my requested margin borrowing further.

but i refused to sell lioc :D

So you are in margin. We are always advising the lads in TEC not to be in margin since the market is not yet came to that level. :-??

viewtopic.php?p=65#p65

this post was made 2 years ago ! by me......

look at the FIB indicating 161.8% extreme Buy slightly below 30, which was almost the turning point (where we are now).

did we ever think it will get landed at these discounted levels :)

i was riding high on LIOC at that time, and big fishes had other ideas to book profit and bring it down to where it is now.

the excuse that was made by the brokers and researchers then was, formula will not be advantageous to lioc, same people now suggest otherwise :D

back then i suggested formula will be good for lioc for stability sake. but my was voice was never heard due to herd mentality.

now i think the herd is in same voice bragging formula would bring stable earnings going forward provided the formula is initiated.

however due to price decline in 2015 and somewhat crazy policy decision made by former finance minister to increase taxes hard hit lioc earnings upuntil now.

therefore all these contributed to reflect cmp of lioc.

its time they rectify the issues.

and put the formula and ensure transparent calculation for the public.

so those who are yet into lioc can make some good trading opprtunities. long term holders can enjoy the ride.

the plus point in my opinion is CBSL governor is in that council that was formed by the prez. and governor has hinted of the formula will come in march (fingers crossed) so the uncertainty can be slightly eliminated from prez side. i think UNP is in for the formula, therefore i dont see any hiccup from finance minister or rest of cabinet ministers.

short term traders can target 34 and 38 after elections or initial rollout of the formula.

once lioc sees improved profits starting post april 2018, a gradual rise/demand may be possible to witness.

good luck to all traders and long term holders.

I thought always that it will follow this path given their unpredictable earnings.

Hope they will bring the pricing formula. But my gut feeling is that the president will somehow veto it. If you listen to him it is clear that his ideas are basically originating from pre 1977 slfp economics. He was elected to abolish the exercise presidency. Bot he has taken the idea of ruling alone and contest again in 2020 . So next 2 years will be political jilmart only. Bad luck Sri Lanka.

Agree yellow. From now on till 2020 precedential election we are in a political soup. Can't think of a way out of this and unfortunately Sri Lankan economy too will have to face its fate.

as indicated my 1st target met very early than my initial suggestion which was post election. possibility some foreigners /funds could be taking early position.
this momentum might spill over towards 36/38 38being my secondary target.

if agw i am expecting a break out of 36 would confirm (speculation) lead in towards 44-46 with a horizon of year or 2. provided the momentum is preserved with heavy activity by the funds/local hnwi

I have talked many times that LIOC is a trading buy 30 or below. If you analyse the past one year price data how many trades you could do if you belived on what I said.

Hi BF
Apart from LIOC 30 or below for trading, what are the other shares you see good for trading? If so, under what price we should put our head in? As you mentioned DPL under 8.00 and LDEV under 7.00 have noticed, but if you got some more to share with us based on your researches that would help. Thanks in advance.

Above is the ST pattern which a S/T Target of 1.50 upside/down based on the break-out.

lioc.png

Above is what appears to be a bottom H&S pattern in the last stage of a break-out for a higher target around 38 rupees.
6Rs from 32, which will be 38.
This is a mid term target *-:)

Fell to 31.30 on low buying pressure. Are we still optimistic of the price formula by March. Can we see the price dipping below 30/- once more towards my zone.
