Dividend yield is very much important in the current contex of cse. The companies that showed fantastic profit growth (even above 100% growth) also struggle to see a decent price appreciation.

Market satisfactorily responds only to attractive dividend announcements.

What companies are run for ultimately? Aint the shareholders the boss?. All we need in many companies here is professionalism through sound corporate governance and ethical standards.

This is the problem with family own businesses.
They siphon money in various ways without giving much to share holders.
That is the reason those companies not attracting foreign funds.

Haha.. thats true.. Renuka group is the worst company I ve met in views of shareholder . Once I ve found they did very dirty thing on notifying AGM and reports, thereafter I sold all. And Never look at them thereafter..
Apla is some what good at least investors have a big capital gain..

Also LFIN (6.5% DY). In the future VFIN (presently 5%) also will be a very good dividend payer once they further strengthen their capital base.

Guys, my suggestion is bombard them with questions on low Div, milking Cash by parent, etc through their website. I wrote to them few days ago as a highlighting these but yet to get reply. Anyway by forwarding queries/comments i suppose Co will be aware of investors uneasiness.
