Yes. APLA is a kind of stock maintaining good dividend. Hopefully the share also will recover with the possible good report for Q1 of 2017/18.

ACL and APLA BoD need to think more about the SH.

EPS LY is 40+ and giving 6Rs as dividends and building reserves with no real planning to help the shareholders.

But APLA is used to satisfy other requirements.......

why they cant a take cue from REXP at least and other companies....

if they are stingy give at least through CR.

450 Mn to receive from related companies....That's something to think about to make the funds available for dividend distribution

SH have perceived the true picture of this management. i have said this before and saying now. some one from tec need to inject this info to the BoD.

its a cash cow but no use for SH as they dont get the attention period from the BoD.

Do they manufacture any of the items that are to be banned?

"Prohibition of sale, importation and production of containers, plates, cups, spoons made using polystyrene"

If they do, this would be a major issue , right.

There may be other sectors / entities that may get positively impacted. GLASS would be one. Any listed entities that make aluminum containers ?

Well, APLA went like hot crap even after the dividend announcement. Shareholders displeasure were prominent during the day for Madamayake family owned cash cow. It is inevitable because a company making 42 EPS giving out 6 Rs to shareholders and lending 450Mn off hand to ACL.

APLA future earning may come down bit due to high corporate tax, slow construction growth and high oil prices compared to previous quarter. But APLA making cable grade plastic for its cable manufacturing arms like ACL and KCAB. Therefore there will not be any impact from ban of plastic containers.

Anyway, if this drop below 158 I think we could see this consolidated around 145- 150 range and that could be considered a definite buy for MT hold.

I did a study on APLA and thought to post a chart on that.

SnapShot_170730_111351.png

As shown in the chart revenue growth is not healthy,in fact there is a revenue drop in last quarter.

Chart on the right side shows shrinking of GP margin and NP margin at a alarming rate.

I expect June quarter revenue to be around 360Mn
While PAT to stay flat 28-32 Mn

This is how APLA behave in recent past,

I think it will take sometime for APLA to recover.... Their dividend policy also a another negative factor.

Dont understand how cable productions is up , based on revenue and yet APLA revenue is down as this is an integral part of cable production.
