agree with you BW..
KGAL is not only a plantation, its like a diversified holding company.
from my opinion, it will be the higher dividend yield CSE counter in future. lets see coming qtrs..
if I talk too mach, some people come and tell negativity all plantation sector. but I also negative opinion some of plantations like KOTA,AGAL.
they can't compare individual plantation counters which is made profit even worst period, which is well diversified, and which did higher investment for field development in past .

POSITIVE BUY
1)from my calculation NAMU,KGAL both are higher potential shares in future, according to the CMP they might be produce minimum 20% dividend yield in coming years.
2)another one is ELPL.

NEGATIVE SELL
1)do not buy KOTA and AGAL for investment purposes (I don't buy these shares even 50%CMP )
2) sell your KOTA and AGAL, if you have

With rising OIL prices and Higher Demand, Rubber prices UP and Keg should benefit

Rubber cultivation should be developed as the world demand for rubber rises - Plantation Minister
May 07, Colombo: Sri Lanka's Minister of Plantation Industries Navin Dissanayake says that experts have projected the world's rubber demand to rise to 17 million tonnes per annum by 2025, and the Rubber Conference should focus on improving the rubber cultivation.
The Minister emphasized that the world's rubber producers should pay special attention to safeguarding the rubber cultivation which is the main raw material for rubber products. Minister Dissanayake said that since rubber producers from 32 countries including Asia, Africa, South America and other countries including Sri Lanka are participating in this conference, he expects the summit to make recommendations and suggestions to develop the world's rubber cultivation and production.

The falling of prices at xd date is not unusual which is to do in my opinion the lacklustre investor sentiments. Traders being very smart in adapting new strategies, to make something out of nothing.

Logical assumption.

But still the price is depressed as compared to last year, same period.

Around US$. 2.15 / kg April 2017 vs US$.1.8 / kg April 2018.

May be a rubber expert can shed some light.

Analyze KGAL GPM and compare it with crude oil price chart.. :-B

BTW KGAL not depend on Rubber price they have good profitable companies, Arpico insurance and Richerd pieris natural foams (genaral part of REXP).

I think KGAL 2018.03.31 FY EPS 16 + :-B
