My intuition says CFVF is not reacting to earnings but only for dividends. If it valued based on earnings then the share price can'take be at this level.

If a bill/bond's coupon rate is above the yield required by the market, the bond will trade above its par value or at a premium. This will occur because investors will be willing to pay a higher price to achieve the additional yield. Remember that as yields decrease, bond prices rise.

If a bond's coupon rate is below the yield required by the market, the bond will trade below its par value or at a discount. This happens because investors will not buy this bond at par when other issues are offering higher coupon rates, so yields will have to increase, which means the bond price will drop to induce investors to purchase these bonds. Remember that as yields increase, bond prices fall.

So if CFVF hold bills/bonds which above the current yield (previously issued) they can sell their bills/bonds at a premium to other investors. so the valuation of their holdings up...

We are looking at a forward EPS of 12+

At current price CFVF is trading @ a forward PE of 3x

It's NAV is 27 so trading at a PBV of 1.4x

Therefore it seems that dividends are the driving force for the price to appreciate. I think if the annual earnings can be more stable than bumper-dumper YoY then the share can trade @ higher PE multiples.

If FC dont provide attractive dividends and stick to 2Rs, Then you will see more selling bro. I have said sometime back as Blue correctly said.
However if CFVF is able to post stable profits irrespective of rate changes, thats the game changer. as sashi said earlier CFVF is not the same as before. only time will prove.
Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.”
