disappointing the wait !

anyway dividend is a dividend....

i would have appreciated if the management had disclosed the rationale over lower dividend payout to the shareholders.

thats something they should have done, but thats not the case it seems.

Shark,
It's an interim dividend, probably final dividend around Rs 2 in May :-?

Yes, mgt should have disclosed the reason(s) for the delay, it seems no rationale......

Here is the rate cut..... :ymsmug:

Sri Lanka 12-month Treasuries yield falls to 9.66-pct

ECONOMYNEXT – Yields on Sri Lankan Treasury Bills, which had been rising since January, fell at an auction Wednesday, with the 12-month bill yield falling 04 basis to 9.66% from last week, the public debt department said.

The central bank sold Rs22 billion rupees of 12-month Treasury Bills at the auction, having offered Rs15 billion worth of bills and getting bids worth Rs51.5 billion.

The yield on 03-month bills, whose sales were resumed last week after three weeks, also fell, down 15 basis points to 8.17% from last week.

The public debt department sold Rs4 billion worth of 03-month bills, the same amount offer, after getting bids of Rs15 billion.

It rejected bids for 06 month bills, according to a statement.

The bank accepted a total of Rs26 billion in bills, the exact amount offered, having got bids worth Rs84 billion.

this is the 1st time since elections, CBSL actively managed the t bill auction rates, since now they are confident the election jitters have gone away and things returning to normalcy. Further reduction in rates is a possibility now. (subject to political front remaining stable.. ) Im still expecting a rate cut in the next Policy Meeting.

Fed Reserve just announced a rate hike of a 25 basis which was expected since the January 2018. therefore should not have an impact on local rates since this was factored in.

This is not rate cut PAT it is the secondary market yield rate. I expect CB to keep the rates as is.

Lately post dividend announcement most shares dip. This is most likely due to unattainable expectations, I think.

This shows the frustration of share holders
They should have declared dividend in January, if not as a minimum Rs 3/4
