What do you all think about the dividend payout ratio of LWL? what is the possibility that they will maintain this going forward? It looks a super share when it comes to dividends for the current price!

By looking at their history , they always paid good dividends. Super DY

When big players enter it will move. Till then it will move slowly.

Some serious buying alongside TILE and RCL is needed. A rally is due for long time now.

It is a long over due trend path. Value investors should re-rate this now. :)

Capacity expansion drives further growth: BUY

"Bottom line for LWL group grew 88.2% YoY to LKR 646mn, assisted by revenue growth, overall savings in CoGS & OPEX and 51% reversal in taxation for Q4 FY 17. At PBT level, the growth was 10% YoY to LKR 857mn. Excluding tiles & associated items (TAI), packaging, aluminium and plantation sectors registered commendable growth for the quarter. However, TAI remained the major contributor to PBT of 68% (previously – 79%). Increase in interest rates, inflation and general slowdown in economic activity was felt in real terms, resulting in a dip in local tile volumes during the quarter. Although activity may remain progressively slow for the year we anticipate a gradual recovery, given the massive infrastructure drive within the next five years. TILE is gearing up to cater this demand with a 35% increase in capacity. Aluminium segment continued the buoyant performance with revenue and PBT witnessing a steep jump of 36% and 78% respectively. We expect this segment to be a noteworthy contributor going forward. We reiterate BUY with a total return of LKR 154 (+47% to CMP)."

LWL Financial Analysis.jpg

Revenue growth for 2016/17 marginal.
Profit margins improving from 2013/14 FY
ROE also close to 15%
Maintaining a DPO of close to 30% for the last three years
But trading at a PE in the range of 4x to 6x
PBV is 0.6x

Is the share too conservative or market has not identified it over many past years.

Manufacturing sector PER is 8.3x and PBV is 1.5x currently.

The benchmarked price ranges comes to 206/- - 261/- under current financials.

What is holding this stock not allowing to reach its true value :-\ It is effectively trading at a 50% level to its fair value. Any areas you want to highlight.

Thanks
BW :D

At last can we see light at the end of tunnel. Reached 111. 1Mn block is remaining @ 131/- Who will it be. Is LWL heading towards 130/- in the short term ?

As I said we should see demand for new set of stocks as well.
Company, stock market, politics and the economy are four different things.

Agree with donpmg. This share have fair value over 200/- at current fundamental parameters. Why not it should trade at higher prices?

Any reason why the share came down to 106.5 again with quarter results to come? fearing a below par result for last quarter?

I don't think so. May be a short term correction. But the price is a good opportunity to invest.

Yes, missed an opportunity to sell at 115 and then collect though..
Either ways 106 is also a good price to collect in my opinion.
