Present fundamentals looks pretty good. But the debts will be an issue for LWL in future.

Companies with debts like SHL for ex will have a very tought time ahead. Rates are picking up. Just see the daily papers,Banks are fighting for higher rates to grab the squeezing money from the mkt. Will not be a good sign for sure............

Compelling discount of the sector continues : BUY

"LWL group bottom line more than doubled (+ 119% YoY) in Q3 FY 16 to LKR 829mn. The tile and associated item segment (+107% YoY) pushed this growth. Aluminium and packaging products played a prominent role in boosting PBT, growing 66% and 118% to LKR 102mn and LKR 69mn respectively. As forecasted HOPL made losses for the quarter due to the current soft tea/rubber prices. We believe the outlook on construction would continue to be stable and have forecasted sub 3% volume growth with flat price growth. The risk of cheaper imports still continues but we believe too much structural negativity is priced into the share. We continue to believe LWL has compelling value with a total return of LKR 149 (+49% to CMP) and maintain BUY although we can see no near term catalyst for the stock to re-rate to intrinsic value."

Weekly CHART shows a better entry around 100Rs , no idea majority believe LWL would hit that support level.
Well if it comes grab with both hands, and dont miss that opportunity.

Cos we could eye a reversal, with MACD perhaps indicate positive divergence and RSI hitting lower band below/closer to 30s.

Upside undeterred by the one-off earnings dip : BUY

"LWL group bottom line dipped 20% YoY to LKR 186mn in Q1 FY 17, due to flat revenue growth and higher distribution expenses. Distribution cost increased 25% YoY to ~LKR 300mn, stemming mainly from PARQ. Excluding the 42% YoY revenue growth in Alumimium products, revenue from all other segments declined during the quarter, resulting in a 0.9% YoY decline in group revenue to LKR 3.2bn. Floods in May and product modifications disrupted the usual demand and sales during the quarter, resulting in Tiles and Associated items revenue dipping 6.5% YoY to ~LKR 1.7bn, which is the topmost contributor to group revenue. We expect local tile sales to normalize in the coming quarters and demand to pick up gradually. On further capacity expansion for TILE at the end of FY 2017E, we reiterate BUY with a total return of LKR 150 (+39% to CMP)."

NAV is 165 based on 30.09.16 Financials. That's encouraging for starters.

Some could value 1.5 times of Book Value closer to 250Rs

And some could consider 8-12 times PER to be with Annualised EPS arround 18Rs.

And one could do the math to arrive at the valuations. :D

I am pitching min 150rs target to be reasonable in few quarters from now.

lets say we give 8 quarters from now, then it would be 25% return excluding Dividends Yield.
