How about Central Finance......

Good Earnings this year .....

A slower appreciator, but ready to test new heights :D

A BUY around 255.50 would be excellent for the long term

Price weaknesses indicate a steep upside: BUY

"CFIN reported an EPS of LKR 10.06 (+11.2% YoY) for the quarter on NII expansion and lower impairment. NII largely rose on account of drop in average cost on IBL (Interest Bearing Liabilities), despite interest income remaining intact. CFIN disbursed LKR 3bn per month during the period and we expect the volume growth to slow down during the forecast period. On a conservative note, we have cut monthly gross disbursements to LKR 2.5bn (-16.7%) for FY 2017E and 2018E due to (1) rising rate scenario (2) decrease in LTV (3) increase in vehicle prices and (4) expected macro economy slowdown. The stock has taken a deep plunge along with the recent market slowdown while YTD stock has dropped ~10% vs. ASPI drop of ~7%. Our Residual Income (RI) based target price for CFIN is LKR 273, indicating an upside of 21%. We have factored in a DPS of LKR 3.70 for FY 2016E, resulting in a total return of 23%. BUY. "

I was monitoring this stock and I found just like SPEN, it is also slowing down slowly. However, long term investors will have some opportunity there.
Company, stock market, politics and the economy are four different things.

CFIN communitiy

Postby PATHFINDER » Sat Apr 08, 2017 6:38 pm

CFIN is a share not get much attraction in forums.

As of 31.12.2016
Net assets value stand at 140
EPS for nine months 17.12

CMP is 89

PBV is 0.63
PE is around 4

DPR has been low over the years

Technically I see a positive momentum which can carry the share to 96-100 in coming days as first station.
115 is possible thereafter if next quarter results are better.
TIMING IS THE NAME FOR THE GAME

CFIN now trading at 89/= which is a bargain price.

However, continuous selling by Perpetual Equities and Thurston investments which also belongs to Arjun Aloysious keeps the price down.

Still Arjun Aloysious hasn't finished selling. Therefore, until the selling is over we can't expect a run. Surprisingly, he didn't dump it to EPF for over 300/= as he used to do.
